The Adventures of Robin of Essex

The legendary myths and tales of Robin Hood, outlaw and forest based philanthropist, are given an unexpected contemporary makeover and boldly re-located by cult satirists Modern Toss in this lavish six minute animated epic.

With minimum emphasis on expensive scenes of mass medieval combat, Hood and his crew are re-imagined addressing contemporary emotional issues while trying to hold together a small illegal business in challenging economic times... operating out of a wood near what is now a supermarket car park just off the A12.

Modern Toss Pilot on Channel 4 Sat 18th August

First shown in 2005 this groundbreaking TV programme was probably the first to show a cartoon man dragging a real tree through a house in response to a family get together. This sequence was directed by 'Attack The Block's' Joe Cornish, as was the Daytrippers appearance in which they try to bazooka a charity jazz gig watched by Michael Parkinson.
